Who We Are
We are your neighbours, your friends and the volunteers who help to make our communities better. The Building Trades of Alberta Charitable Foundation is made up of over 60,000 unionized skilled trades people across Alberta who are members of 16 trade unions. We make community reinvestment a priority. Since inception, the charitable foundation has contributed over $5 million to worthwhile organizations across the province.
What We Do

- Job referrals to all our construction and maintenance contractors through our union halls;
- World class training facilities in which we have invested millions of dollars;
- Pension, health and welfare benefits;
- Payment of the highest wages; and
- Safest worksites in the business.
Building Trades of Alberta union members give employers real value that comes from years of experience with the best workplace conditions in Alberta.
